Chemical, power and new-energy facilities can place different demands on valve materials, actuation and maintenance access. The MacoTango team continued its industrial study visit in Kuitun, Xinjiang, to learn how local plants and industrial organisations manage these varied operating settings.
Industrial development in Kuitun
Kuitun lies at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains and on the south-western edge of the Junggar Basin. Its road, rail and pipeline links support its role as an industrial and transport hub in western China.
After an earlier exchange in Shihezi, the team continued west to Kuitun. Local leaders welcomed the team and supported the next stage of the industrial study visit.
Visits across chemical and new-energy facilities
The programme included the Kuitun-Dushanzi Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jinjiang Chemical, Wanhua Group’s Juli Company and Jingnuo New Energy. Together, these visits gave the team a wider view of the area’s chemical, energy and industrial development.
At Jinjiang Chemical, the team learned more about the scale and layout of a large chemical production site. The visit added practical context to discussions about plant operation, equipment use and long-term development.
The wider industrial area includes several types of process equipment, production buildings and utility systems. These facilities create different operating conditions even when the same general valve categories are used.
Exchange at Wanhua Group’s Juli Company
The visit to Wanhua Group’s Juli Company gave the team another chance to exchange ideas with an industrial management team. The open discussion and warm reception added a useful management perspective to the plant visits.
Plant context before product recommendation
The Kuitun visit reinforced a practical point for MacoTango: the process duty must be understood before a valve is recommended. Medium, pressure, temperature, materials, actuator requirements and maintenance conditions only become useful when they are linked to the actual plant environment.
We thank the local leaders and teams for their welcome and open exchange. The visit gave MacoTango a clearer view of industrial development in Kuitun and useful context for future work across chemical, power and new-energy applications.
