Valve selection becomes more useful when it is linked to the plant’s actual process, maintenance conditions and project controls. During a visit to Qinghai Yuntianhua International Fertilizer Co., Ltd. in Xining, Qinghai, the MacoTango team held a learning and management exchange with Chairman Ma Yue and members of the management team.
Yuntianhua’s fertiliser value chain in Qinghai
Yuntianhua Group is based in Kunming, Yunnan. It is a large state-owned industrial group whose main businesses include fertiliser, glass fibre and chemical new materials.
Qinghai Yuntianhua International Fertilizer Co., Ltd. was established in Ganhe Industrial Park in Xining as part of the group’s industrial development and value-chain expansion. The business extends Yuntianhua’s fertiliser activities from phosphate fertiliser into potash fertiliser, drawing on Qinghai’s potash resources and access to western markets.
What large fertiliser sites demand from valve decisions
Large fertiliser and chemical sites connect raw-material handling, storage, utilities and several process units. A decision made in one area can affect operation and maintenance elsewhere in the plant.
Each service places different demands on valve materials, shut-off performance, actuation, inspection and maintenance access. A valve supplier therefore needs to understand the process duty instead of treating every chemical plant as one general application.
Management exchange at Qinghai Yuntianhua
The discussion with Chairman Ma Yue and the management team gave MacoTango a direct view of the thinking behind the company’s development. Their work to build and grow a major fertiliser business on the Qinghai plateau left a strong impression on our team.
Qinghai Yuntianhua has also received national-level Green Factory recognition. For MacoTango, the value of the visit came from listening to the people responsible for the business and learning how long-term industrial goals are turned into day-to-day operating decisions.
How the visit shapes MacoTango’s work
The visit reinforced a practical principle for our team: understand the process before recommending the valve. Plant conversations help connect process conditions, material compatibility, actuator requirements, inspection records and maintenance needs to the actual duty.
This plant-level perspective continues to guide MacoTango’s work across industrial valve applications. Our aim is to reduce uncertainty before a valve reaches quotation, purchase, installation or operation.
