Product Overview

Check valves, also known as non-return valves, are used to prevent backflow in a piping system. They allow fluid to flow in one direction while preventing reverse flow, thereby protecting pumps, compressors, and other equipment from damage. The check valve operates automatically based on the pressure of the fluid, which forces the disc to open or close. Constructed from high-quality stainless steel (SS304, SS316), these valves are durable, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

Product Features

Non-Return Function: Designed to prevent reverse flow, protecting critical equipment such as pumps and compressors.

Automatic Operation: Operates automatically based on the flow pressure, without the need for manual intervention.

Versatile Connection Options: Available with female thread connections for easy integration into different piping systems.

Corrosion Resistant: Manufactured from stainless steel (SS304, SS316) for excellent resistance to corrosive environments.

High Pressure Capability: Suitable for high-pressure applications, with a maximum pressure rating of 6,000 psi.

Durable Construction: Forged body to provide high strength and extended service life.

Specification Applications

Industries

  • Oil & Gas Industry: Used to prevent backflow in pipelines carrying crude oil, natural gas, and other hydrocarbons.
  • Water Treatment Plants: Ideal for potable and wastewater treatment systems to ensure unidirectional flow.
  • Chemical Industry: Suitable for handling aggressive chemical fluids that require corrosion-resistant materials.
  • Power Generation: Applied in steam and condensate systems to prevent reverse flow that could damage equipment.
  • HVAC Systems: Commonly used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure proper fluid direction.

Specific Applications

  • Pump Protection: Prevents backflow from damaging pumps in water supply and chemical injection systems.
  • Steam Lines: Ensures unidirectional flow of steam in high-temperature systems, protecting equipment from water hammer.
  • Chemical Injection Systems: Prevents reverse flow of chemicals, ensuring process reliability and safety.
  • Fire Suppression Systems: Used in fire sprinkler systems to prevent backflow and maintain system integrity.

Installation Instructions

  • Verify the valve size, pressure rating, and material compatibility with the pipeline and medium before installation.
  • Ensure the flow direction matches the arrow indicated on the valve body to prevent improper operation.
  • Install the valve in a horizontal or vertical position based on the type of check valve being used (e.g., swing check valves are typically installed horizontally).
  • Use appropriate sealing materials (e.g., PTFE tape or gaskets) to ensure a leak-proof connection.
  • Test the valve for proper operation after installation, ensuring that the disc moves freely and there are no signs of leakage.
