Valve Type: High-performance metal-seated butterfly valve
Size Range: Specified in the selected configuration datasheet
Pressure Rating: Specified in the selected configuration datasheet
Temperature Range: Limited by selected materials, seat, seals and actuator
Actuator: Pneumatic actuator
The MacoTango Pneumatic Metal-Seated Butterfly Valve uses triple-offset geometry with a metal seating arrangement.
The geometry limits rubbing contact during most of the disc travel and brings the sealing surfaces together near closure. Laminated and solid-metal sealing arrangements have different material and service considerations.
The metal-seat construction should be identified as laminated or solid metal on the datasheet. Pneumatic actuator selection must cover the required closing torque at the specified differential pressure.
Consider triple-offset metal-seated valves for compatible process, steam or hot-fluid duties when the selected assembly meets the pressure-temperature requirement. Shutoff direction and test conditions need to be stated for the actual configuration.
| Disc arrangement | Triple offset |
|---|---|
| Seat arrangement | Metal seating; exact seal construction specified |
| Valve motion | Quarter-turn |
| Shutoff basis | Specified direction, pressure and leakage test |
| Actuation | Pneumatic; actuator and failure action selected for the duty |
| Size and pressure class | Specified in the configuration datasheet for the selected model |
| Operating temperature | Limited by the complete material, seat, seal and actuator arrangement |
For a configuration-specific quotation, send the following information:
We will confirm the final configuration and datasheet against the stated duty before order acceptance.
No. It can reduce rubbing during travel, but seals, bearings, packing and actuator settings still require inspection appropriate to the service.
State the required seal construction, fluid, temperature, differential pressure and leakage acceptance requirement.
Specify the required process response to air and signal loss. The actuator, spring arrangement and pneumatic circuit must be selected and checked together.
