The MacoTango Pneumatic Vacuum Ball Valve provides pneumatic isolation for a specified vacuum duty.
Vacuum suitability depends on sealing against inward leakage as well as closure across the ball. Seats, body joints and stem seals all contribute to the performance of the complete valve.
The pneumatic drive allows remote isolation of a vacuum line. Specify both the minimum absolute pressure and the gas composition, including any cleanliness or outgassing restrictions.
Consider the valve for compatible vacuum process or evacuation lines after defining the operating absolute pressure, gas, temperature and acceptable leak rate. Cleanliness and outgassing can matter even when pressure-service shutoff is satisfactory.

No. Specify the vacuum level and allowable leak rate, including the test gas and method. Internal seat leakage and leakage from atmosphere are different checks.
Use absolute pressure and state the unit, such as Pa absolute or mbar absolute. A negative gauge reading alone can be ambiguous.
Specify the required process response to air and signal loss. The actuator, spring arrangement and pneumatic circuit must be selected and checked together.
