The MacoTango Pressure-Balanced Top-Guided Single-Seat Control Valve provides modulating flow control through a single valve seat.
This valve design combines a single seat with a pressure-balanced cage arrangement. Top guidance supports plug alignment, while the S-pattern body provides a continuous flow passage. Actuator sizing still depends on the selected trim and maximum differential pressure.
This valve designation should remain attached to its own assembly and trim specification. The control duty, guidance arrangement and actuator must be considered together when replacing an existing valve.
It is a candidate for water, compatible process liquids, gas and steam control in flow, pressure, level or temperature loops. Temperature and shutoff differential determine the required body, packing, trim and actuator combination.
| Nominal size | DN15–300 |
|---|---|
| Nominal pressure options | PN16–64; ASME Class 150–300 |
| Temperature envelope | −196 to +550 °C across separately selected constructions |
| Trim | Top-guided single-seat trim; pressure-balanced cage construction |
| Body construction | Straight-through S-pattern cast body |
| Connections | Flanged or welded; threaded configurations limited to small sizes |
| Actuation | Pneumatic or electric; sized for the operating differential pressure |
| Rating basis | Series options are not simultaneous operating limits. Select the size, material, seat and pressure-temperature combination for the stated duty. |

We will confirm the final configuration and datasheet against the stated duty before order acceptance.
Provide the fluid, flow range, inlet and outlet pressures, temperature and required shutoff. These determine trim capacity and actuator force.
No. This valve design uses a pressure-balanced cage arrangement. Select the actuator using the actual trim and differential pressure, rather than the single-seat description alone.
