Control Valve Supply for EPC & Engineering Projects
Get a technical offer your engineers can evaluate and your procurement team can compare.
MacoTango supports control valve selection and supply for EPC contractors, engineering companies and system integrators. Send your valve list or datasheets to review the proposed configuration, technical exceptions, documentation and delivery requirements.

Match the Control Valve to the Process Duty
A control valve proposal should explain how the selected assembly fits the operating conditions—not simply repeat the line size and pressure class.

Review the available minimum, normal and maximum flow cases with their corresponding inlet pressures, outlet pressures and temperatures. Establish the sizing basis, proposed rated capacity and expected operating range before confirming the valve and trim.
For gas service, identify the flow reference conditions and pressure basis so the calculation is not built on incompatible inputs.
Assess the body, trim, seat and packing against the specified medium, design conditions and operating environment. Duties involving cavitation, flashing, noise, corrosion or erosion require additional review before a configuration is confirmed.
Any limitation affecting the proposed construction should remain visible in the technical offer.
Review actuator sizing against the required shut-off differential pressure and available utilities. Confirm the specified failure action, control signal, positioner and accessories, together with end connections and installation constraints.
The required safe position must be defined by the project team rather than assumed from the valve’s normal operating position.
Give Your Review Team a Clear Basis for Evaluation
Organize the proposal around your valve tags and project requirements, so engineering and procurement can review the same scope.
Tag-based configuration
The proposed valve, trim, materials, actuator, positioner and included accessories for each item.
Selection basis
The process inputs, sizing basis and important limitations used to develop the proposal.
Compliance and exceptions
Requirements supported by the offer, proposed alternatives and information still needed.
Commercial scope
Included items, optional items and exclusions associated with the proposed configuration.
Keep Compliance, Alternatives and Open Points Separate
A proposed alternative is not presented as approved compliance. Missing information remains identified until it is confirmed, and any requirement outside the offered scope is stated explicitly.
Respond to Comments by Tag and Revision
Engineering comments should reference the affected valve tag and document revision. Revised proposals identify changes to the configuration and any resulting effect on price, documentation or delivery.
Your team should be able to see what is being offered, what differs from the RFQ and what decision is needed next.

Need evidence relevant to your project? Tell us the application, valve scope and qualification requirements so we can identify the available supporting records for review.
Agree the Documentation and Inspection Scope Before Order Placement
Identify the documents your team needs for tender evaluation, engineering approval, inspection and final handover. Submission stages, required formats and any additional costs should be agreed with the supply scope. For each item, agree the reviewer and submission milestone. Label its actual status: proposed, for review, approved only after approval, or as-tested only after execution.

Technical datasheets and sizing information
Required fields, calculation basis, review format and document revision.
GA and interface drawings
Connections, dimensions, installation arrangement and required submission stage.
Material documentation
Required certificate type, component coverage and traceability expectations.
Inspection and test records
Test procedures, acceptance criteria, witness or hold points and reporting requirements.
Actuator and accessory documentation
Data and certification applicable to the actual supplied models.
Identification and handover documents
Valve tags, packing information, manuals and the agreed final document package.
Review the Specified Standards—not Just a General Compliance Statement
Provide the required standards and editions with the RFQ. The offer should identify the applicable manufacturing and testing basis, together with any different standard, proposed substitution or limitation requiring review.
Confirm Inspection Requirements Before Execution
Share your inspection and test plan, required witnessing arrangements and third-party involvement before the scope is finalized. Availability, scheduling and additional charges must be confirmed for the specific order.
Final records should describe the equipment supplied and the work actually performed.
Define the Assembly Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Scope
Use this matrix to discuss the functional checks needed for the proposed valve, actuator and accessories. The selected checks, procedure, conditions and acceptance limits must be confirmed for the project. This is a proposed scope, not a completed FAT record.
| Review item | Agree before testing | Record after testing |
|---|---|---|
| Travel, command and feedback | Agree command points, travel range and available feedback type. | Record command, measured travel and available feedback separately. Discrete limit states are not continuous position feedback. |
| Included accessories | Agree the applicable functions of supplied positioners, solenoid valves, filter regulators, limit switches and lock-up devices against the approved diagrams. | Identify each supplied accessory and record its observed function or state. |
| Loss of air | Define the loss event, starting position and expected action for the approved air circuit. | Identify the air supply removed, supplies/signals remaining, and observed travel or held position. |
| Loss of electrical power | Define which supply is lost, starting position and expected action. | Record supplies/signals remaining and actual valve/accessory states. |
| Loss of command signal | Define the interrupted signal and expected action; account for shared supplies or loop-powered devices. | Record what was removed, what remained available and the actual response. |
| Response, where specified | Agree timing definition, starting position, travel range, supply, load/differential-pressure conditions and limits. | Keep time-aligned command/travel records and actual test conditions. |
Mark non-applicable checks N/A with a reason; keep unperformed checks and deviations visible. An as-tested record identifies the assembly, procedure revision, actual conditions, acceptance limits and results.
Functional results apply to the tested assembly and recorded conditions; they do not by themselves establish pressure or seat-leakage acceptance, installed-system protection, or completion of site commissioning.
Know What You Are Buying—and When You Can Receive It
Share the quotation deadline and required delivery location early so both can be considered in the offer.
A Defined Price
The quotation identifies the complete assembly, included accessories, documentation, inspection and packing scope. Optional items and exclusions are shown separately so your team can compare offers on the same basis.
A Clear Delivery Basis
The schedule distinguishes manufacturing lead time, dispatch and required arrival. Payment, technical approval and inspection dependencies are stated before order confirmation.
An Agreed Inspection and Release Scope
Confirm the required tests, acceptance criteria, witness arrangements and records before manufacturing. Any proposed change to the accepted configuration is submitted for review rather than substituted without approval.
Send Your Valve List or Project RFQ
Share the valve list, datasheets, project specifications, ITP or approval requirements you already have. We will review the proposed supply scope, technical open points, documentation requirements and quotation basis before the offer is finalized.
Questions Before Evaluating a Control Valve Package
Yes. Send the available revision and tell us whether you need a budget estimate, tender proposal or firm quotation. We can identify the relevant supply scope, missing information and conflicting requirements first. Any selection that depends on unconfirmed process data remains preliminary until those inputs are resolved.
Yes. Send the required format with the RFQ. The response is prepared against the actual proposed configuration and available supporting information. Confirmed compliance, deviations and unresolved points remain distinguishable rather than being presented as unconditional compliance.
Where the project permits alternative manufacturers or new-vendor evaluation, we can prepare the proposed technical basis and relevant supporting information for review. MacoTango is identified as the proposed manufacturer, and any relevant differences remain visible. Final acceptance remains with the authorized EPC or end-user reviewer.
Project GA drawings are normally prepared after the technical configuration and commercial basis have been confirmed. If your tender requires drawings before order placement, include the required drawing content and submission date in the RFQ so the pre-order deliverables can be agreed separately.
Send the inspection and documentation requirements with the RFQ. We review the requested tests, acceptance criteria, hold or witness points, material records, certificate requirements and third-party inspection scope before confirming what is included. Additional verification may affect price and execution schedule.
Provide the required arrival date, delivery location and available technical documents. We review feasibility against technical confirmation, material availability, manufacturing, inspection and transport requirements. The quotation states the applicable delivery basis and the conditions that affect the schedule.
Yes. Send the comments with the relevant valve tag and document revision. We review each affected requirement and identify whether the change affects the valve configuration, commercial scope, documentation or delivery. Revised items remain distinguishable from requirements that have not changed.
